Tourists and locals can now experience a unique and unforgettable adventure this summer on the Croatian island of Pag with the new pet-friendly stand-up paddle (SUP) tours.
Kristina Alaburić, from the Kissa Association, has come up with an innovative twist for this season’s SUP tours. Joining her as the captain of the tour is Pago, an eight-month-old Dalmatian. It’s a pet-friendly vacation like no other.
“Whether you’re already vacationing on Pag Island or simply want to join our SUP story, you can now be a part of our SUP tours with your beloved four-legged friend. A brief education session for you and your furry companion is all it takes to embark on a SUP tour of a lifetime,” Kristina tells us.
The location for the SUP tours is the peaceful village of Vlašići, situated on the southern part of the island. It boasts a stunning beach and is surrounded by two beautiful islands, Sikavac Mali and Sikavac Veliki.
Here, the remains of a grand Byzantine fortress from the 6th century have been discovered. Interestingly, the islet of Veliki Sikavac is home to a lake with brackish water, and at the point where the lake meets the sea, an artificially constructed barrier has been found, presumably to protect the lake from seawater intrusion.
“This summer, prepare for a one-of-a-kind SUP tour with breathtaking views of Pag Island. It’s an experience to remember.
