Gacka River
The third-longest subterranean river in the world. Gacka is an extremely clean, rich in oxygen river, while also being famous among fishermen for the fact that the trout from the Gacka River grows up to 5 times faster than in any other karst rivers.
Gacka is one of the cleanest rivers in Europe. It has high-quality drinking water, and you can drink it straight from the spring.
Visit Fortica
A famous Renaissance military fortress, was constructed in 1619 and its remnants can still be seen today. They clearly show a unique, triangular configuration of towers.

Here there is mill which still makes flour and this flour is used for the pizzas at Ruspante, which is located next to the mill.
Visit Croatian Center for Indigenous Fish and Crayfish Species of Karst Waters
The Center was founded in 2006 at the site of the old fish farm on Kostelka, a tributary of the Gacka River in Ličko Lešće near Otočac, and officially opened in 2008, with the aim of the Center becoming a place of scientific and professional research, a place for raising brown trout fry for stocking the karst waters of the Republic of Croatia, as well as a tourist spot in the destination Gacka.
Bears from Kuterevo
In the mountain village on the northern slopes of Velebit – Kuterevo – there is a shelter for orphaned bears called The Kuterevo Bear Refuge. If you want to see the bears you can do so anytime, except during winter when they are hibernating.

The creative concept of the brochure is attributed to Hana Klain, Klain PR agency, along with co-authorship of the texts with director Viktorija Rogić from the Otočac Tourist Board. The graphic design of the brochure, as well as the illustrations, were done by Nikolina Holjak, Arsa Design Studio, and translation and proofreading by Anamarija Francetić.
