PHOTOS: Best of Croatia festival attracts thousands

On Sunday, May 5th, the 6th festival celebrating the best of Croatian intangible cultural heritage, tourist events, attractions, and destinations “SVI zaJEDNO HRVATSKO NAJ” concluded in Vukovar.
Thousands of visitors enjoyed various cultural, tourist, artistic, and entertainment activities over three full days.
The festival showcased Croatian cultural heritage, traditions, and regional diversity, aiming to promote unity.
This year, it highlighted authentic Croatian cuisine alongside various tourist events from different parts of the country. Marina Sekulić, director of the Vukovar Tourist Board, emphasized the festival’s significance in defining Vukovar as a place of Croatian unity.
The event featured over 600 performers from across Croatia, attracting thousands of new visitors annually. Special programs for children included toy exhibitions, educational workshops, and displays of solar cars built by Croatian high school students.
Local musicians, including the Vukovar Nightingales choir and young singer Mateja Ištuk, entertained the crowds. Traditional dances by local dance groups and heritage presentations by cultural societies added to the vibrant atmosphere.
Visitors also indulged in Croatian delicacies and wines, experiencing the rich culinary heritage of the region. The festival hosted renowned tourist events like gastronomic showcases and historical reenactments, drawing visitors from Slavonia and beyond.
The musical segment featured performances by Croatian artists such as Jole, Rišpet, and Tiho Orlić, attracting a diverse audience. A tribute concert to Željko Sabol showcased timeless songs performed by young talents.
With events spread across five locations, including the picturesque setting beneath the Vukovar water tower, the festival offered a dynamic experience. Historical and theatrical performances, like “Bilo Bilogore, Bilo Hrvatske,” captivated audiences in collaboration with festival partners.
Organizers expressed satisfaction with this year’s turnout and announced preparations for the 7th edition in May 2025.
The festival, recognized by the Croatian Tourist Board and awarded by the European Commission, continues to promote Croatian cultural heritage and tourism on both national and international platforms.
