ZAGREB, July 2 (Hina) – Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic in Imotski on Wednesday presented an intervention plan for the Imotski region that will be financed with EU funds, covering 25 development projects valued at HRK 242 million.
“These 242 million kuna are for numerous projects for economic and social revitalisation and for greater investments and dynamics of vital economic activities in the Imotski region. This is the continuation of our dedicated engagement to help the development of this region with a policy of balanced development,” Plenkovic said at a ceremony presenting the plan.
He underscored that the biggest message today is based on the example of the government’s Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem project, which saw more than HRK 12.8 billion agreed for investments in five Slavonian counties, and that the wish is to make a similar project for Dalmatia’s hinterland, Lika, Gorski Kotar and Banovina.
“We are confident that these regions in fact need additional support for demographic revitalisation and economic development,” he said.
