Biggest coffee drinking countries revealed, Croatia among top

The popular “World of Statistics” page on social network platform X (formerly Twitter) has this week released a list of countries which consume the most coffee in the world, N1 writes.
Based on the amount of kilograms of coffee per capita consumed annually, Finland takes the top spot, with a staggering 9.6 kilograms per person per year.
Following closely are Norway with 7.2 kilograms, the Netherlands with 6.7, Sweden with 6.5, and Slovenia with 6.1. In the top 10, we also find Austria, where each person consumes 5.5 kilograms of coffee annually, and just behind it, in the seventh position, is Serbia with 5.4 kilograms.
Denmark and Germany both consume more than 5 kilograms annually, and Belgium consumes 4.9 kilograms of coffee.
From the countries in the region, Bosnia and Herzegovina ranks 12th, with 4.3 kilograms of coffee per person per year, while Croatia is three places lower, with 3.8 kilograms.

North Macedonia is in 18th place, with an annual coffee consumption of around 3.6 kilograms per person.
The last place on this list is occupied by Nigeria, with a mere 0.03 kilograms of coffee.
The world average, by the way, is two kilograms of coffee per person per year.
