More success for a small family-oriented specialty coffee brand from Croatia.
Founded by young Croatian couple Ivana and Marko back in 2018, kava specialty coffee brand is quickly making its mark both at home and abroad.
The couple have two shops in Croatia now – kava37, the original store on the island Hvar, kava2 in Split. They also have their roastary in Split, where they roast the beans for kava.
After recently getting their coffee into cafes into Dayglow coffee shops in Los Angeles and Chicago in the United States, kava has just broken into the Spanish market.
Kava is now available at People specialty coffee shop in Barcelona.
“Kava.family – our new guests roaster in People. Excellent coffee beans by small farms holders, roasted with passion and respect in Split, Croatia,” the coffee said.

“Our cafes are simply named – kava – the Croatian word for coffee. Currently some of our coffee packaging feature an image of Marko’s late dad from 1965, a year in which he moved to a part of Split where Marko grew up. Our whole business is focused on a simple motto – roasting and brewing beautiful coffees from beautiful people for beautiful people,” says Ivana.
The couple say that their approach towards coffee, business and their clients is one of simplicity, honesty and commitment.
