Croatian specialty coffee brand kava is now available in the United States.
“We’re happy to announce that kava is now available at Dayglow coffee shops in LA and Chicago. Thankful for the opportunity and happy to share our love for coffee with the US coffee lovers,” Kava, recently announced.
Dayglow has locations on Huntley Drive in West Hollywood, on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles and on N Kimball Ave in Chicago.
The Kava specialty coffee brand was founded by young Croatian couple Ivana and Marko in 2018.
The couple, who travelled the world as wedding photographers, opened their first shop kava37 on the island Hvar and have since expanded the kava family to three parts – kava37 in Hvar and kava2 and kavaro, their roastary, in Split.
“Our cafes are simply named – kava – the Croatian word for coffee. A superscript number is added to the name which represents the street number our coffee shop is home at,” Ivana and Marko say.
Their coffee packaging is carefully crafted with attention to detail and small touches of history.
“We’re all here thanks to certain people that pushed us along the way and we plan to honour all of them in time. Currently some of our coffee packaging feature an image of Marko’s late dad from 1965, a year in which he moved to a part of Split where Marko grew up. Hospitality is at the core of who we are. Our whole business is focused on a simple motto – roasting and brewing beautiful coffees from beautiful people for beautiful people,” says Ivana.
The couple say that their approach towards coffee, business and their clients is one of simplicity, honesty and commitment.
Kava recently started also shipping to the USA and orders can be made via their webshop.
