Croatia Airlines unveils winter flight schedule 2023/2024 with new additions

ZAGREB, August 16, 2023 – Taking into account the needs and demands of its passengers, as well as the required support for further development of the Croatian tourism product and enhancement of transportation infrastructure, in line with fleet expansion plans and availability, the national carrier Croatia Airlines has introduced its winter flight schedule.

This schedule will be effective from October 29, 2023, to March 30, 2024.

The airline is planning to increase the number of flights by 11.8 percent with a 13.6 percent rise in available seats. During this period, Croatia Airlines’ aircraft will spend a total of 12,353 hours in the air, carrying out 9,474 flights with a combined seating capacity of 970,644.

In summary, the winter flight schedule for 2023/2024 introduces new international routes, extends flights on specific seasonal routes, and increases the overall number of flights and available seats compared to the previous winter period.

With a total of 23 international routes, the national carrier will connect 7 domestic airports with 13 international destinations. Additionally, Croatia Airlines will fulfill its commitment to connect Croatia through domestic flights from Zagreb to Split, Dubrovnik, Pula, and Zadar, as well as flights between Pula and Zadar.

A notable addition is the direct international flight between Zadar and Munich, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays – twice a week. The year-round Osijek – Munich route will continue operating during the winter, connecting the eastern part of Croatia with the rest of the world on Mondays and Fridays.

Responding to current demand and requirements, Croatia Airlines is retaining and extending the following flights: Split – Copenhagen on Saturdays once a week, Split – London Heathrow on Saturdays once a week, Dubrovnik – Frankfurt three times a week (Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday afternoons), with the option to adjust the flight schedule according to market needs, and Zagreb – Mostar three times a week.

Similar to the previous summer season, the following summer operations are also extended into the winter: Split – Zurich on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the winter, Rijeka – Munich on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the winter, and the Pula – Zurich route on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the winter.

This year’s winter flight schedule was also influenced by the ongoing fleet replacement process. The national carrier will continuously strive to meet market needs and passenger demands, promptly informing the public about any updates to the flight schedule, if they occur.

Motivated by the achievements of the first half of this year, as well as the current positive numbers boosted by the tourist season, Croatia Airlines remains a crucial support to Croatian tourism and the economy.
