Just before the end of the January transfer window, Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb brought in a young player, predicted by many to be one of the best talents for his age.
14-year-old Brazilian Rafael Gomes Cirino, known as Belinho, has joined the Zagreb club and has started with one of the club’s youth teams.
Belinho’s father had earlier moved to Croatia from Brazil for work, and that is how he was spotted.
“Dinamo brought him in from Novi Vinodolski, where the boy played because his father worked there as a construction worker,” the daily Sportske Novosti reported.
Belinho, who is super quick and technically gifted, has been described as an extraordinary talent who is destined to be a big star.
Known for developing players, if he continues on his path, he could overshadow another Brazilian who was at Dinamo Zagreb, former Croatian International Eduardo Da Silva, who became one of the biggest transfers in the club’s history after joining as a 15-year-old from Brazil.
