Lika is so beautiful and diverse that it enchants and entices from whichever side you approach it.
Lika is a mountain plateau in the southwest of central Croatia, broken down by smaller mountain ranges which, transforming directly into the Adriatic coast, form a rarely seen relief.
Most of the area of Lika consists of national parks (Plitvice Lakes, Paklenica, and Northern Velebit) interspersed with Croatian subterranean rivers (Gacka, Lika, Otuča, Krbava, Korenica, and the river Una, which springs in Lika).
In addition to natural sights, springs of rivers, lakes, waterfalls, a wealth of national and cave parks, Lika preserves and reveals the rich cultural and historical heritage of Croatia.
We inherit the traces of human settlement of this paradise land from prehistory, through the ancient Iron Age Japodes, ancient Illyricum, and the medieval Old Croatian parishes of the Croatian Kingdom to the present day.
The third edition of Like Lika Festival will take place from 21-30 July in Otočac, Senj, Gospić, Gornji Kosinj and Brinje. The festival permeates authentic natural and ancient cultural locations with top musical performances of serious and contemporary music, while the combination of untouched nature, ancient history, and music reveals all the smells, colours, tastes, and sounds of Lika.
Lika is a destination you want to experience, visit, explore, listen, and breathe to the fullest.
