STUN Skate Park
STUN Skate Park is the biggest in Denmark, with a whopping 9000 m2 of skate park. It was designed by designer and skater Teit Andersen, and we must admit, he has done a very good job. So good that in fact looks like something from Street leauge or X games – It is MASSIVE!
STUN Skate Park was initiated by the local skaters (Jeppe Friis og Nick Dehn), in collaboration with the city of Silkeborg. It took almost 20 years of planning before the skate park became a reality.
If you are in the area it is definitely worth a vistit, but if you are on the other side of the planet, book a flight right away, because it is really that good.
The Skate park has everything from manual pads, ledges, stairs, rails, everything except a vert. Because of the size it never feels crowded, in fact the park can contain all of the skateboarders in Denmark at the same time, and still not feel crowded.
Silkeborg is located in central Jutland and has approx. 46,000 inhabitants. The city is beautiful with many green areas, hills, forests and a Gudenå (river). It is definitely one of Denmark’s most beautiful cities. The city has everything from shopping to excellent dining options and hotels.
Silkeborg is definitely worth a visit.
