HVS Boardsport started with the idea of serving all boardsports instead of just seeing them as an individual sport. We knew that all of the different sports and cultures have a lot more in common than just riding a board. We identified some common problems and started brewing solutions. For example, a lot of skateboarder and surfers is always on the search for new spots, so we decided to make a simple spot guide.
We are trying to do the things we love, by solving problems. First, we made a small blog that provides valuable information for our little community. As the number of readers grew all around the world, we decided to open a little webshop, providing the community with high-quality products at an affordable price. Last but not least we made a small collection of spots available with description, pictures, and GPS-coordinates, making the search for new spots a lot easier.
We are trying to improve every second of the day, but in reality, we are only humans. So if you have any ideas, if we let anybody down, or if you simply just want to send us your “sponsor me” tape, please reach out via our contact page. As we spend a lot of time buried in work, we really value input from our friends around the world.
The foundation of the shop is to provide cheap boards, without sacrificing quality. We focus on giving our customers a fast, reliable and secure web experience. We always send the products the same day, we offer a 365 return policy and we are always ready to answer any questions what so ever.
We always encourage the our customers to stop by the shop if you have any problems or questions. We would love to help, and if we can´t we might know someone who can. Besides, meeting in real life with you is what this is all about – hanging out and having fun.
You can find our shop in the heart of Copenhagen, within walking distance to the biggest and best skate spots in Denmark. Just find Hillerødgade 72, 2200 Nørrebro, and we will greet you with open arms.
The spot guide started out as our own personal database with different spots, but then we thought: “why not make it public?”. We then made it public, and it is now possible for everybody to upload spots all around the world. It is basically an open-source database where you can both find and submit skate spots, surf spots, and snow spots.
The spot guide all community-driven, so it’s free for all. You can upload your own local spots, and make detailed descriptions, upload photos and videos with you shredding the spot. It is also possible to rate every spot.
All spots are integrated with google maps and contain geodata. You can find spots nearby by searching via GPS, and you can even get directions via mobile to each spot. It is also possible to browse spots via our spot map, or by entering a request in our advanced search bar.
It all starting with a small blog, with us just sharing articles, advice, tips, and tricks, etc. When we found out that people actually tuned in and read our stuff, then it kind of grew. We started taking things a bit more seriously, but it is even more fun now. We now have an excuse to do something creative with all the good things in our lives.
