Baby Lasagna will represent Croatia at this year’s Eurovision in Sweden.
Baby Lasagna earned the right to represent Croatia at the 68th edition of Eurovision Song Contest after he won the 2024 Dora contest held on Sunday night.
Baby Lasagna, which is the stage name of Marko Purišić, won with his song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”, which was based on votes from the jury and the public in Croatia.
Originally from the town of Umag in Istria, Purišić was a guitarist for the Croatian rock band Manntra, before pursuing a solo career in 2023.
His debut single was titled “IG Boi” and released through Molly Studios. He followed that up at the end of last year with his second single “Don’t Hate Yourself, But Don’t Love Yourself too Much”.
In December, his Eurovision song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” debuted at number 24 on the HR Top 40 chart, making it his first chart entry in Croatia.
Croatia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 28 times since making its debut at the 1993 contest. Croatia’s best result in the contest is fourth-place finishes in 1996 (Maja Blagdan) and 1999 (Doris Dragović).
